spline count

ok so im on the search for a 31 spline count t-lock for my car. what trucks come with 31 spline all 150's and up i know the explores do as well but is there a ez way to check or know if they are t-locs without jacking up the truck ?

Yes, look at the option sticker on the drivers door pillar, the rear axle code will decode to the diff type and gear ratio. There should also be a tag hanging off one of the diff cover bolts, if there is an L between the 1st and 3rd numbers on the bottom line it has a Traction Lock limited slip.

thank you for your reply ,
i knew about the tag on the rear. but being up north it depends sometimes if you can read them or not. any ideas what the door tag would say letters numbers?

hey thanks that will help out a bunch. im going to go see what my truck has in it now lol. btw. is this a TRUCK only well I guess all i have to do is open my car door to find out. because i already know it's a doggy dog 2.73 rear.

Yikes... 3.55 would really help the car out and that ratio was very popular in the trucks.

yeah so popular that i got 3.55 rears in my truck lol. but the cars getting a 347 and already has a C4 so with the 3.55's shes gonna be a beast. the truck may end up with the mustangs engine and computer though as the car is going carbed. tired of messing around with these little problems. and upgrading to bigger injectors, TB. at least i can get the chip reburned for the trucks set up and be done with it as it's not getting many upgrades. so it should be fine.

thanks for your help. im going to the bone yard this weekend and maybe get a rear. if i find what im looking for
