I have looked and seem to get a bit of info here and there but nothing really fitting my specific issue....
I have a 2000 4wd EB Expedition. While cruising, if I give her a little gas...Ill get a vibe in the gas pedal and a bit of noise under the beast. If Im doing this in the city at slower speeds it will go away if it downshifts. I will also let you all know that the tranny shifts different in cold weather... It takes a while longer to dump into 3rd..or 4th Normal?
I am not sure of the trans type. The fluid looks pink/red with no burned odor.
If fluid is anything other than red, it probably needs changing. And sometimes a fluid change will get rid of the shudder. Shudder is usually the torque converter clutches starting to slip which in the long run will damage the tranny. If the fluid change doesn't fix it, you might need a minor rebuild or some sensors might need adjustment.
Not sure on your model truck but all three of my vehicles with automatics do shift later in cold weather or until the car is warmed up a bit. That is normal.
Good Luck,
Jim Henderson

After changing oil, if that doesn't take of it, try some "shutter guard". Just add small tube of it to trans, I got some at local napa. Fixed the shutter in my Merc. And yes, be sure and use recommended type fluid!
