I'm not sure how to decode those numbers, a good 9" site is here:

Hopefully NumberDummy will be along soon and can decipher the codes.

as we all know im a tight a and i just cant see the diff being worth a buck and a half . i can usually find whole trucks too part out for that . but on the other hand whilst i still had that late mode g-c i was beating around in , i had bought a diff for it from a very reputable local salvage operation , wanted the optional 3:42 gear and discs paid 450 . so who's to say .

I haven't decoded it yet and would like to know if it matches up and for my future reference, where to go to decode it?
Thanks all

I've paid $150 for just the center section (an inspected nodular iron 31 spline unit) and $75 for a pig-in-a-poke, but complete drum-to-drum rear end. Patience is a virtue...

I just bought a complete rear axle out of a '72 F-100 with 3.25 gearing, like new with new brake drums, shoes and hardware for $75 off of a local Craigslist ad. I think I got an exceptual deal. I have been looking for one for some time and all the ones I have seen at swapmeets and in ads the sellers were asking between $200-400, way too high for my wallet.
I think $150 for a good one is a pretty good deal especially if you all you have to do it go over and pick it up. Like Havi, I checked out some in a old junk yard in the boonies and the guy wanted $150, that was with me having to drag my tools to the back of the yard, yanking it out myself and carrying it back to my truck. The would have taken a better part of a day because I couldn't get my truck back in the yard and would have had to lug the unit around and over a bunch of junk cars.
