Backing plate?
Looking for the best place to buy front brake backing plates for a 87 f150. Mine flake apart when you touch them due to rust. Is backing plate the correct word to use for this part?

FWIW: You can run without them with no ill effects. It is very hard to get a stone caught between the pad/caliper/rotor.
