Battery Light

I Noticed When I Start My Psd The Battery Light Stays On. It Shows Putting Out 14.4 Volts. It Sometimes Goes Out Then Comes Back On. Any Idea's.

Start with checking the connectors at the alt.
They tend to burn back.

mainly the 3 wire connector on top, they also spread terminals if somebody leaned on it while workin under the hood

sounds like the rectifier bridge is going out to me. When they totally go out in the morning you can pop the hood before you start the truck. Everything else will be cold but the alternator will be warm. It allows current to flow back into the field coils makes like a heater coil. If the light goes out with RPM's added but comes back on at idle then it's time for an alternator or rebuild that one.

Its Showing 14.5 Volts While Running. I Noticed When It First Started Comming On I Was On The Highway And It Came On When The Rpm's Were Up And It Flickered And Went Out. Now It Just Comes On Occationaly.
