Ive got a 2001 f350 with a 7.3L and i bought the truck with a banks bighead on it. recently its been acting up and not boosting the close to 20psi it normally does. its only boosting just over 10psi. i pressure tested the big head and it held the pressure i also tested the vacum lines and they seem to be fine. i tried to take it off to see if the valve was locked up on the other end but i cant get it too move. i was wondering if they seize up in a certain position and i was wondering what i have to do to fix it. any help would be great. i think i have to pull the turbo off to do the seals, so i think that i might have to fix the valve if its stuck. i was wondering if anyone has had this problem, and what did you do to fix it. any help would be great thanks.

Pull the red line off and put it on one of your clamp studs to block it ( this will disable the wastegate) and take it for a ride and check you boost # s
Baret, you do realize that those are pressure lines, and not vaccum lines (red a green). The reason you cant move the rod is because there is a 40# spring holding it in place.
there is a spring and a diaphragm inside the bell of the WGA. the force of the exhaust gasses push on the butterfly valve(W.G.) and try to pull the rod wich some times takes a 5psi puff of air from the red line to help it close.
I think you just have a boost leak somewhere, tighten all boots.
Thanks for your help i figured out what it was i guess where the mount for the bigheads pressure lines are, there's a rubber gasket that mates it to the turbo Y. it was extremely loose and must have messed up a vaccumn or something. i also tightened up all the clamps around the turbo but they were all pretty tight except for the intake where it meets the turbo. i put a K+N cold air intake in and that may have been loose, all i know is its now boosting around 20 psi like was before and its way more snappy. thanks again for your help.
