Have you replaced any of the coil packs? i have an 01 f150 with 100000 miles on it. i had some problems out of it at 80000 miles, so i replaced the coil packs and the problem was solved. also with that engine knock be careful, mine started doing that and then the heads locked up and i spun the cams and broke the valves. my friend who did the work owns a machine shop and said that it is common for the oil ports that deliver oil to the heads get plugged up and cause lack of lubrication on the top causing the heads to lock up.
If you put your mouse pointer over the word seafoam in my previous post, it contains a hyperlink that takes you to the website for seafoam. You can also do a forum search for seafoam that will give you other information from people that have used it. Good luck!
