I just started my truck after a cold overnight temp of -31c it was plugged in of course it started rite up it was rough though I then hit the high Idle to run back in the house and it went into limp mode check engine light so I turned it off and started it again but this time let it Idle a bit before I hit high Idle it was fine after this
I am using 10/30 at the moment and if the weather continues this cold I will have to change to 0/40
until this cold snap I was fine with 10/30 just goes to show you should always do what the manufacturer recommends
I still run the thick stuff maybe I should change it? mine has gone into limp mod a few times before just shut off the high idle and turn it back on and its usually fine after that it doesn ' t act up often.
