Super Flathead!

Thought you guys would enjoy this, found it on another forum.

700HP, twin plugs per cyl, Vortech blown/intercooled...AND 300MPH at the Salt.

That"s just an Awesome combination of Super-High Tech,Billet,Chrome and Eye-candy; It looks like it could make 500hp off Idle,!.Alot of hour"s into working that package together I"d bet.

ya it was in hot rod last year. they were spining her at 7000 rpm to make that hp she was only running 5600 rpm running 302 mph

sweet . i cant remember the fella's name but i think it might be motor city flatheads ? that was developing the all aluminum flatty well its all done gettin' ready to go on sale , 10-12 k for a long block , and makes 350-375 horse . kinda amazing how these things have all of a sudden come back in vogue .

its neat for sure but call me a stick in the mud but I personally don't think it is something I am really into. I mean it is still a flathead technically speaking but it is no longer practical but then again neather is going 300mph. I personally would like to see one fitted with EFI and a turbo, and used for pulling instead of racing.

you're right it's not a practical thing but then again is one of our gas guzzling old trucks practical when you can buy a new one with better econamy , more comfort etc, ? nope . that is really sweet eyecandy but it's arace motor , and as an ex-racer i want it .
