With a giant thank you to my brother in law (cracker73) he helped me get some much needed mods and maintenance done his weekend(actually he did most of the work). i read directions, said yes sir and helped some. stared out replacing the up pipes b/c of a leaky one. turns out that was the small leak, the big leak was from the exhaust manifold itself. we got everyhing pulled ou and sent the manifold to a machine shop for trueing. Now the fun stuff. we also installed a wicked wheel, cackle cure kit(DFA) and a crank case vent. after we got everything back together we sarted it up but ahad a few hard stars for about 30 minutes. I guess working out all of the air in the lines. anyway all is working well now and the truck drives great. we had hoped the in tank mod kits would be here this weekend, but no such luck. Something for yet another day!!!!!
yes, he owns a trucking and hauling company in middle Georgia. he has helped me immensely with all things diesel, BUT he does not havea DP Tuner on his truck yet!!!! and i think he was thoroughly impressed with mine this weekend. i give him a week tops before he is a follower of Jody!!!!!!!!
Did you replace the up pipes or just the donuts? I need to do mine and need a few pointers. Just doesnt look like there is alot of room especially on the passenger side.

I just did my bellowed pipes.
Pull the turbo, it's about the only way to get the job done.
Thanks, Dan. I just need to reassure myself I wouldnt mess things up to bad doing that. I would need an o ring for the turbo at the pedistal then correct?
up pipes are not to a bad job if you pull the turbo, actually neither is the exhaust manifold. the ww is awesome it will absolutely scream. we checked it with a genisys and we were making 24.6 psi of boost!!!

Yes, get the o-rings for the pedastal as well.
I went hog wild on my pedastal kit. Bought the whole thing at Ford for way too much money, but I needed it and didn't want to mess around with finding the right stuff online. It came with new bolts and every o-ring needed to re-do the pedastal. They are less than 3 miles from my shop so if something went wrong it would be a quick and easy trip to remedy the situation. Cannot say the same for an online sale.
I even took out the EBPV piston, solinoid valve, etc and cleaned everything up.
The part that took the longest for me was getting the clamp to come loose on the exhaust inlet for the turbo. Laying across the top of the motor and trying to dislodge the collar took me nearly an hour to finally get it loose. You have to be careful with that clamp because it has to be re-used. Eight years of never being loosened really glued it down!
