Well, my buddy and I were on our way up to Mercer WI for a snowmobile trip. We were supposed to meet a bunch of our buddies up there for a three day ride. Well at about 180 miles into the trip the 6.0 was already acting wierd. . . but then totally died. Truck has a Hypermax Mach 7 chip. . . pretty mean stage II injectors from Hypermax and a semi modified fuel system. On the way here the chips map sensor was reading inaccuately as compared to the factory boost gauge and the aftermarket boost guage. The whole way up the boost was unusually high according to the two boost guages. we were cruising at about 75 mph, 800 degrees and 20-25 lbs of boost. All we are carrying is just my sled in the bed of the truck. the truck seemed to loose power and as we were approaching an exit we were at full throttle and not maintaining speed. We pulled it out of gear to exit and she died. As we were coasting we were trying to start it but no fire. We stopped and let it sit for a minute. It fired back up and idled for a minute and we pulled into the stevens point airport parkinglot. We stopped in the parkinglot. . . played with the throttle and little and not only did it run very rough. . .but it died again. Now she won't fire at all. Oil pressure guage doesn't come up and we know its not a fuel delivery problem because we checked. So we're wondering why if it is an oil pump failure, would it start two or three times before finally dying. So who has any ideas? Sorry for the length.
