tranny help
i have a mazda 5 spd manual and when i get ready to shift into second i hear a rattling noise it doesnt sound like anything serious im just curious it starts in neutral but im just about to shift into second helpppp please

have you checked out the exhaust or looked for other loose body parts that could be the culprit? When you shift or change the load on the engine, that can change how some things will resonate, or may hit the resonant frequency of some random loose object on the truck, causing a vibration that you will only hear at that specific engine RPM/load. My truck used to have a rattle when the catalytic converter heat shield was loose, but it would only occur at the specific RPM/load when my truck was in gear, but stopped at a light or something.
