I might have had the cover painted to match the truck BUT it seems getting a dead on match to the is white sand color has been difficult. If I did get it painted I know I would have removed for summer driving and then never put it back on. I guess they saved me some garage space and some cash on paintwork.

I just put my K&N intake in and i completly agree with everything carbonmetallic wrote... it's definately worth it. Shifts alot better and revs much faster, plus the engine seems to run smoother during high rpm acceleration but the intake did get noisy. It almost feels like a different vehicle but i also had the OEM muffler replaced by a 18" maggy a while ago so i'm sure it's breathing better. I can't comment on the MPG gain if any as of yet but i'll know this weekend.
