Adding Entry Keypad

I want to add a "keyless entry keypad" on my door. I don't have the "keyless entry" or factory alarm on my truck, so I can't use the wireless keypad everyone's selling. I finally found a "wired" keypad for sale, but now I need the wiring harness for it. Anyone know the easiest way of doing this? What does it wire to? The actuator or the L/U switch?

It wires to unlock switch. You just need to connect to power, ground, and the switch. But that depends if the one you are looking at uses batteries or not. It's pretty straight forward.

Ok, well, I think I'm going to go ahead and buy the keypad and start looking for the wiring harness tomorrow. If anyone happens to know the part #, PLEASE feel free to share it with me

Thanks for the sug., griff. What I'm doing is installing a keyless/alarm system and new door handles without locks. I plan on using my alarm to gain entry into the truck, but I want to add the keypad just in case I lose the remotes for the alarm. I have the 6-spd manual, so I didn't want to mess with the remote start. I'm also adding remote battery terminals just in case the batteries go dead. Any one have a suggestion on where to install the remote terminals?

If you are going to so that, then buy a wireless keypad that you can program. They can be had for ~$50. You will need to find one that is compatible with the alarm you are getting, though. Most alarms disable the factory FOB when armed.
