Another air pump hole question

Any one know what years the head doesn't have the air pump holes? I passed up a free 200 out of a 77' a while back and I remember it didn't have holes, kinda kickin my self in the *** now...........

Mil1ion would know for sure, but i'm gonna go with 1985 and earlier. I think 1986 is when they went EFI for the 300.

The year doesn't matter. The only defining characteristic I know of is that the trucks with E4OD transmission did not have AIR holes in the head.

As I ststed in an earlier post, should anyone have ordered a replacement casting from Ford back in the late 80's they came machined for the air tubes. Kind of a one service part fits all deal. kotzy

And as I stated mine is a 79, not an 80's efi, also I have seen them with OUT the holes, i was just wondering if any one knew of the top of their head when they started using the polution control pump and head with those stupid holes.
