driveshaft plug?

driveshaft plug?
hey i noticed on the driveshaft of my truck up near where the splines are but just down from there, it look like a rubber plug on the it, whats this all about, i could post a picture tommorow if anyone doesnt know what i am talking about. reason i ask is i was doing some seaching about the famous rear end hopping that some of get, my self included and someone said to fill the driveshaft with ATF, and that stopped his hopping, anyways anyone hear of this and seem this plug i am talking about??

Please dont fill your driveshaft with ATF or any other fluid. Its a myth at best, that will actually help in destroying your driveline. Wheel hop is aided by traction bars, springs designed for that, removing blocks etc
