what do you mean, what size tires, or if it will make your truck more flexible? tires you can run 33"s. flex on your truck you get nada,there just spacers, and nothing to do with susp..
Personally I would never do a body lift. As atillett said. You can fit 33's stock, with some trimming of the inner front bumper. If anything get coil spacers and lift blocks if you want to get a bit more height.
Personally, i would NEVER own or even drive a vehicle with a body lift due to the safety issues (not to mention being butt ugly.
The only "flex" you will gain is how much more the body mounts can stress and torque, which will eventually lead to your mounts breaking off if you do ANY sort of flexing on trails. (Others may dissagree but in my op. body lifts are NOT safe, better doing a 2.5" daystar leveling kit)
body lifts arent bad. i have a 3 inch same as lot of people. there is no more body roll than before (i have no front sway bar since i first did a suspension lift) and no difference when body lift went on. There is no sway on road and off road. i don't think it looks ugly at all only worry i have is that i use my bed alot and because every cross rail is not supported if i fill it with rocks it could warp but a half bed of rocks didn't bend anything, nor did it cause more body sway than without the body lift. The truck is just as rigid as it was without. make sure you get the bolts tight and you are fine. the spacers are solid and mount on the current mounts. i was like everyone on here until i talked to people with them. off road they are fine. just about everybody with one is happy with it. i bet you will clear 35s with a 3inch. i love it on my truck only bout 5 hours to install and zero negative effects after about 6 months. check my gallery if you want to see pics, im saving for 37" tires
they spacers bolt on top of the frame. using the same rubber bushings with the bolts torqued right nothing that wouldn break without will break with, there are extremes to this because your changing some physics here if your talking frame twisting rock crawling avoid it if you want to spend a little more get a suspension if your like me and limited funds i did the 4" suspension myself got the kit for around 900 and the body lift once i was convinced it was ok will clear 37s for me by spendin only 100 bucks. i dont hesitate to go off road in fact i worry more about the ttb but honestly i feel thats bullet proof unless i go rock crawling.
just so you know i would not hesitate to go suspension first if i was doin it again, i only did 4" because drive shaft and brake lines didn't make my budget. i can get up fire roads, through mud, carry rock, and pull over 10k lbs without a thought of worry.

The thing that breaks isnt the change in the mounts, just the longer distance between frame and body (with the same width) creates much more leverage and stress on the joints than normally which is what will eventually break the mounts. And anytime your driving with the body not connected to the frame is a bad day...
im not sure what you mean by mounts if i remember correctly the mount was just a hole through the fram and that frame will not bend there from the extra torsion. i could be remembering wrong and the cab stock sits on rubber spacers between the frame and cab so its not directly on the fram. im not saying there isnt extra torsion
If you flex the truck out a lot, like heavy trail runs or bogging, seems like you would have to worry about a lot more than just body mounts twisting off. But yeah, I would <I>not </I>recommend a body lift for heavy wheeling either because of that.
On the other hand, isn't there rubber all the way through and around the body mounts? Wouldn't that take up a lot of the torsion? I mean, these mounts aren't real thin, so it would take quite a bit of jarring and twisting to stress them.
With that said, I'm putting a 3" lift on my truck with new polyurethane mounts. I'll probably won't run anything higher than the 33" tires I have on it now. And, I won't be off-road very much either. If I do, I know things are eventually going to break. If you beat on a vehicle off-road, its gonna break.
thats pretty much the just of it RC. heavy off-road something will break not necessarily on the lift but race cars break when they are modifieyed same with wheelers stuff breaks and body lift changes geometry, but they are sturdy and i am not afraid to do anything with it i was afraid to do without. the rubber mounts take some torsion but at the same time because they flex the body leans more so you could argue that adds torsion. my feeling on it is the spacers are strong and tight the bolts are strong the rubber is good and im not spending alot of time off road. nothing is being stressed more than it should be
Do the suspension lift for more flex, or do the body lift if you are just going for looks with bigger tires. I had trucks with 3" body lift and no one ever new, as long as you do it right it'll look good and has factory ride. But if you got the money do the suspension lift.
I had a 4 inch suspension with 35 inch tires, wasnt enough for me so i put a 3 inch body lift, definatly was BA looking after that. That was in a 79 tho. I wouldnt think about getting a body lift for my new one because lifting bumpers are a pain in the ****!
