I picked up my 6 step nfab bars today. I wa sable to buy them from a local place who actually had them in stock. These things are nice. Very heavy and extremely well built. I cant wait to get my truck back to install these bad boys.
Also today I picked up the rest of the parts needed for the superduty spring swap. I have my work cut out for me. The springs I have on there now are 2 inch lift springs I had made by a local spring shop about 2 years ago. If anyone can use them let me know.
Those look very nice! I might just have to build me a set like that. The only Thing I don't like about them is the way they mount. I would rather they mount to the frame rather than bolt to the rocker panel of the cab. I had a lady hit/glance me when she pulled out and hit me in the side. Had my steps been mounted to the cab like who know what damage could have been done. As it was it did hurt anything but the chrome finish.
The N-Fab stuff is real good.
I have N-Fab nerfs black powder as yours.
I really like them. But i really got reamed on mine.
They were a special order made for the E-series.
I can get a pic. its pretty simple though. Though I think they need to be a bit stronger its a flat bracket that bolts to the frame with a piece of square tubing going out to the step with a flat strap angles from the frame to the step for extra support. two brackets one in the front one in back.
That would be pretty sweet to build an exhuast/steps. My dad and I brainstormed it when I made my last exhaust. The best way we figured to do it was kind of faking it but it would look sweet. Build the steps but the actual step part wouldn't actually have exhuast thru them then plumb in the exhuast like I have my side pipe right now. You would never know unless you look under the truck. To do it I would like to find some 5 inch flattened oval pipe with a turn out.
It could be done! But it would be a plumbing spectical! I need to get my duals back on soon!! MY STACKS!! Bill why don't you come over to MI and and between Rick, you and me we can get you some stacks on the Quigley!
