460 swap question
i have a 78 460 that i took out of E-250 van i took the motor mounts off the frame and i want to know what all i would have to do to put it into a 79 f-250 i have a 400 in the truck now and was told motor mount set up is totaly differt i would like to know what i have to do to put the 460 in

I can only pass this along as second hand information. I was told the engine towers and such from a 79 E-250 you mention would fit the 77-79 F-series trucks. Look on your truck good and see if the bolt holes are in your frame and on the frame cradle under the motor in the same places as was on the van. I have a set of these mounts my self from a 79 E-250.

460 swap question
If that doesnt work out for you. You can get a set of mounts from advance adapters that bolt right to the 460 and will sit right on the 400 frame mounts. I got mine from a local parts store for $80 jobber since i work in a garage.
