Post 429 and 460

What is the difference between the 429 and 460? Is it the block, pistons, or rods?

I have a 460 crank and block. Will I be able to use DOO3 rods and pistons stamped 429? Or will I have to buy 460 pistons?

You will have to use pistons for a 460. The compression heights are different on 429 and 460 pistons due to the shorter stroke of the 429.
If you try to use a 429 piston with a 460 crank, you will have serious piston to head contact. If you try to use 460 pistons with a 429 crank, you will have a very low compression ratio. Hope this answers your question.
