would a trans cooler of this configuration be adiquate for our trucks or are these things only good for gassers. I thought of getting one of these and trying it, but I wanted you guys opinion first.

opinion!

Yes it will cool but I wouldn't it as direct replacement but adding capacity is allways good. If you wanted to use it instal it in conjuction with your factory cooler.

I think it would be a nice addition to the factory cooler. Do ya have a link?
Do you have a tranny temp gauge? I don't mean a factory gauge.

I just finished doing a complete performance rebuild on the old 7.3L that was alot of $$$ and I'm just exploreing ideas as to what I can do to help this drivetrain live longer. the pic I posted is a double pass cooler the one I'll be using has 4 pass through tubes

Any idea what the BTU or GVW rating of that type of cooler is?

That should tell you everything you need to know.

the pic is from ebay, I'm having my friend at Arrow Thermal products make the 4 pass cooler. I don't know the specs but the dimentions are 4" dia, 24" long with a 1/2" inlet and outlet.
