For anyone who's interested, I have a spreadsheet with the following information:
1. Parts manufacturers, part numbers, vendors and component costs for a complete build on block and iron heads for a 500hp/575ft lbs tq 460.
2. Complete engine costs; broken down by shortblock and heads.
3. A cost comparison on the shortblock between having my block and crank work done by a local machine shop and buying a shortblock from PAW. The interesting part is that PAW will include a block and crank for almost the same price as I can do mine locally and buy parts. And I wouldn't have to haul my parts to and from the machine shop. And I'd still have my existing 460 block/cramk.
The only cost missing is freight if I order the individual parts. No weight, so that shouldn't be much of a factor. PAW's freight is included. I'm leaning towards PAW.
