I was driving and shut off the truck to get gas after that the heater will not turn back on. I checked the fuses but was wondering if there is anything else. I would suspect this is more electrical. Please help me it is cold.
there was just a post about this a couple weeks back.... i guess there is a resistor for the blower motor inside the passenger side door a-pillar. try a search for it, and you will get some better info.... i remember reading one about 1-2 weeks ago. it wasa cheap fix for the guy too.
The resistor controls only speeds 1, 2 and 3. You should still have high as it is not routed through the resistor. If you have no high speed..you have a different problem.
could try the primitive technique and tap the blower motor housing. you may have multiple fuse boxes(driver and pasenger side, under hood) or could be in head unit. sometimes taking ***** off and spraying electrical contact cleaner behind them helps. or if its vacume controlled a loss of manifold vacume can be a problem, but probably not for the blower motor.
my brothers 05 F-150 4x4 4.6l vin:W, blower motor lost positions 1,2,and 3. I replaced the BM resistor, positions 1,2,and 3 worked briefly before 1,2,and 3 went up in smoke also, so has anyone been through this? Sure could use the help on this. thanks
