help building a 69 429

i have a 69 429 2v out of a mercurey the book says it is 10.5 to 1 comp and 330 horse stock i dont know much about building them but i want at least the 330 horse if not more anyone know what i should ask for at the machine shop to be done to it to get the power i want i have a set of 460 heads off of a 460 4v i think its a 74 460 also i have a 750 holley carb i am useing manifolds i would like to use the stock 429 heads and 2 barrel carb but i have the 4 barral set up if i need it i need to know pistons bore cam should i have the heads shaved any help you can give i need it thanks.

I would use the 69 heads from the 2v they are no different from the 4v heads.You could use the 4v manifold from the 74 on the 69.

Hello vroom. If you want to find out a lot of information about heads for the 460 try this. Go back to the fourm page and click search. Type in d0ve as you key word and hit search. You'll find lots of good questions and answers. These guys know their stuff. I use the search feature alot on the forums. It sure helps. Good luck.
