Yes I'm sorry I was in a bad mood I got the plug out of mine finally. I didn't see how a 289 with plugs mounted in the side of the head compared to a modular motor with plugs on top but anyway. Something was in between the hex of the plug and the head. I removed the fuel rail and got a socket on it with a small extension and beat it until it went on the plug its now out.

Tis OK,,,I know how being frustrated, pissed, and in a bad mood set's one off ! We just purchased a 01' F-150, 4.6, 5-speed,4x4,,for my son,,it's got 183k on it,,we got a set of MC. COP's and the plugs with the truck,,will prob have at it this spring !

I finally got that done! A composite O-ring (white plastic rather than black neoprene) was left as debris near #8 plug when heater core was replaced some time ago - - when I pulled off the spark plug wire boot (with special boot-removing pliers, of course), one of those rings did a "ring-toss" over the old plug, preventing the spark plug socket from seating down onto it, as well as keeping me from easily seeing it - - inspection mirror, strong small flashlight and a piece of baling wire with the end bent into a tiny hook pulled it right out, then I finally replaced #8 plug! Thanks guys, for all the response! You're the greatest!!
