casting number questions

I have a 460 I have freshened up, was wondering what year it is, block is D1VE A2B, and one head is D0VE A2A, and the other is D_VE A2A, they have the 76 cc combustion chambers (or about that) but have pedistal mount rockers, I thought the D0VE heads had stud mount rockers. Also, waht size carb do I have, it is a holley 4v, LIST 8005, and under that it has 0132.
Thanks,
Bill

D1VE is a 1971-up 429/460ci with a 4.36" stock bore size and 10.310 Deck Height. Never heard of a DOVE-A2A on a head before. Usually you see DOVE-C and D3AE-A2A. Cant help you with the carb. but you can goto holleys web site and might find what you need there.

Look a lil closer the 0 in D0VE is really a 3 when I first looked at mine i thought it was a 0 also. I dont think any D0ve ever had pedastal rockers but the D3VE A2A all do.
Good Luck Andy

casting number questions

I am pretty sure it is a D0VE A2A head, I did not think they had those casting numbers either, thats why I am curious. The heads have pedistal mount rockers like the later heads, but have the small combustion chambers of the early heads. Is this a very rare set of heads that no one has heard of, or a factory goof up, either way, they work pretty good. Now I am really curious of what they are. I cleaned the heads and can see the casting numbers really easily, one side has the 0, and the other just has a space where it would be. I will double check tomorrow.

casting number questions

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Jun-02 AT 01:43 AM (EST)]Well, Let's check for sure.
Look for the Date of casting.
Look for these marks with 3 or 4 characters between them.
I can't remember if they are in the oil galley or near the exhaust ports.
ie:
* 3B25 *
