I own a F350 CC LB 6.0 4 WD looking at upgrading the front suspension, what is invovled if I by a stabilzer kit (bracket and shock), and is it worth it. My steering is currently out of alingement(spelling), so I thought install this and get the front end alinged. I would like to install the kit myself, thanks for your assistances in this matter guys. Looking at rancho single shock kit.
Not sure about the Rancho kit. I have the Fabtech dual kit where there is one in front of the other on the passenger side. It was very easy to install and works great. I have 35's so I went with the dual setup.
I got the Rough Country dual stabilizer kit for my X. Easy to install and the directions are easy to follow. The OEM stabilizer and brackets were also easy to remove.
I think it was worth it. It makes a difference especially on roads that have the dump truck tracks in them. My X does not wander at all.
Im currently using the rize dual setup with bilstein shocks. The kit is amazing, truck drives so much nicer without pulling. My question is how many guys are using an aftermarket kit along with the stock setup.
Stock steering stabilizer is garbage among many other of superduty parts giving poor performance or little life expectancy particularly if the truck is modified (bigger tires, lift and etc.).
I have the dual steering stabilizer shock kit, easy to install with common tools by yourself giving much needed better performance adn life. On a scale of 1 to 10 on install difficulty level I say a 1 (easy).
Highly recomend any of the reputable aftermarket dual kits (billstein, rough country, superlifts) would all do a good job.
I avoid factory OEM replacement parts as aftermarket replacement parts for the most cases yield far better performance, life expectancy and better value than OEM superduty parts.
If you have 33" or smaller a single set up is all you need.
35" or bigger go with a duel set up.
I have 33" and went with the rough country single and it is wounderful.
Was thinking about going with the dual, but glad I didn't spend the extra money went I don't need a dual.
On the other hand if you are looking for looks a dual setup looks really sharp.
Performance wise, what is the difference between inline dual and parallel dual stabilizers? I don't have a lift or really big tire but want to upgrade suspension to extend the life of the front end of my truck.

Probably none but it depends on what two brands you are compairing. Also if you wheel any, ground clearance could be an issue with parallel.
FOX Racing 2.0 single stabilizer works great, easy install, handles large tires,$140.00 and it's rebuildable
If you live in a snow/salt road area, I would avoid this one. I have one of these on my truck and it's completely wrecked from the salt (rusted/damaged). Fox wanted more than it was worth to rebuild it and chrome it.
Otherwise, when I was in AZ, it was an awesome performer with my 37's.

I'm pretty sure after reading through some of these threads that I'm going to probably go with a single because I don't have, nor can't because of height requirements, a lift kit. I do plan to up my tire size a little beefier over stock but nothing drastic to need a dual set up. Could you recommend two brands of shocks/stabilizer for a stock truck with mild wheeling in mind? I don't do alot of four wheeling and there is sooo many choices out there I figure I'd ask someone with more experience with suspension. Thanks.
well i just replaced my oem stabalizer a couple of weeks ago with a fabtech single on my 03 f350 duelly and i got it for around 50 bucks and took all of 20 mins to take off and install
