Hard Shifting Into 4wd
I have a 96 f150 4x4 and shifting from 2wd to 4wd is a bear.Where and what should I be looking for? It is an automatic , and the 4x4 shifter is on the floor.
any help on this would be great.

You might check the pivit bolt on the 4x shift linkage. it is on the side of the trans just under your 4x shift handle where it comes through the floor. I found out the hard way that if I over tighten that bolt there is no way to shift in to 4x. I also cleand and lubed the sholder on that bolt when I did my manual swap last week. 4x works great.
