Hey again boys and gals!
We started tearing into this 460.. and have come to a halt... the distributor is stuck nice and tight in the block and we can NOT get it out. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. We already got the one "soak it for a few days with penatrating lube"
Thanks Alot AGAIN!!

I have had to deal with this many times. All you can do is let it soak and try and work it with either a pipe wrench, drift and hammer, cresent wrench etc etc... Sometimes you have to let it soak 2-3 days. I know it sounds like a pain in the *** but thats the only way I know of. Be patient, you may have to work it for half an hour or so, just budging it back and forth. Good luck.

That's exactly what I did. Took a couple days, and each time I went out there, I gave a shot of liquid wrench, and tried to turn in both directions... No noticeable movement, but it did something on the final day: It gave! Only a quarter inch, but enough to start it rocking until I got full movement. No room on mine for a pipe wrench, so I tapped lightly with a wood block against vac adv. housing.

Ford started it; Ford will finish it!
Gryn - when I rebuilt Harrison's motor I did the "soak it for a week" trick, too. Didn't work. I finally pulled the timing cover and worked it out from the bottom with a drift and sledge hammer - the EFI distributor was going to be replaced anyway, so I wasn't worried about a little damage -- just needed to get the silly thing out!!..
