Loose the K&N, and the eviljuice, get an AFE stage 2 or a 6637, and then call Jody at DP, and you just made a bunch of extra horses, and saved a butt load of money.
You've barely begun to crawl yet you're ready to leap bounds.
I'd prepare the motor first. You should be asking what's needed BEFORE injectors and turbo.
What's your HP goal.
The 1990 454 SS was a fast street truck. Have you tried to find one of those. For the price of decent injectors you could have a whole truck. And it would actually be fast.
Ok well what do I need then. Im wanting to make it faster. But im only 19 and going to school. So everything I do to my truck is one step at a time. Plus this is a whole new learning experience for me. Its the first diesel I have ever owned and I dont really know much about them. But i am learning.. So any suggestions?????

like Brandon said in post 2 get rid of the K&N..it will let dirt eat up that new turbo... get the DP tuner..you will need the DP when you get injectors..you will also need the ITP OBA..i dont see any gauges in your post... intank fuel mod and a regulated return or the like would be next...then think about injectors and turbo....
Ok so I guess Im gonna order a dp today. And order some gauges because right now Im just using the juice monitor. But.... Does the new dp gauge switch mount right into your pillar block with your other gauges?

It's funny Robby made a comment like that. He's the original 'leaper' from buying a stock PSD to 500 hp in less than two months time.
He might rub some the wrong way, even started the my 'stupid looking stacks' thing. But, I like the guy. Just big enough of an ********* to be hilarious.
To the OP, Robby's right, along with the general concensus around here. Aim a little lower.
I'll post my usual response to comments about the K&N, since I doubt most people have run them before but provide comments stemmed from others comments.
Don't worry about getting rid of it. As long as you maintain it properly, it will work as well as any other filter you put on your truck. I've been running a K&N for 5 years and it has kept my intake tube and turbo cleaner than any other filters I've tried. I tried the 6637 filter, and, in my opinion, it didn't work as well as my K&N. It does take more maintenance than a paper filter, but it has worked well for me.
I ran the k&n filter for a year before I came to FTE. I thought it strange the directions on the package said the filter was good for 100,000 miles. And it says the dirtier it gets the better it filtes. I would check the filter and could not believe that this dirty filter is just now starting to filter good. I also wondered, how in the heck is air going through this thing. The amount of air the 7.3 needs, I was stumped. When I joined FTE and heard the talk, I looked inside the intake hose and it was full of oily dirt. I could take my finger and rub the inside and it would come out caked with it.
I'm not saying everyone had or has that problem, but I did.
