Hi David. How are things back east? Beautiful weather here in central Washington today, I learned how to put brake pads on my new Mercedes-Benz commuter car. I love driving my truck but it is pretty thirsty..... And I have to admit, those Germans are pretty good at making a car but as far as I am concerned nobody can build a truck like The Ford Motor Company.
The Mercedes is the first non Ford I have ever owned, my first car was a 1970 Torino 4 door that I bought before I could legally drive. The Torino did get some testing on the logging roads around town, which it passed with flying colors. I sold it later for a 1970 Cougar, which I am still kicking myself in the *** for letting go... I think the point of all this rambling is that I am happy that I figured out a little bit of German engineering, which can be insanely complicated even when it is not necessary. My 83 F-250 is still happy as hell, and waiting for the Dana 60 front axle that I traded my 1978 E-150 van for.
In case none of this makes sense I had a lot of sun and a lot of beer today. If it does make sense please disregard this message.........

Fun is when you have to work under the hood. My VW I rad to remove the Alternator, Supercharger, A/C Compressor, and Super charger bracket just to get too the waterpump.
I forgot. Is there any market for a Dana 44 F-250 TTB complete front end? Nothing at all wrong with it, it is still under the truck and works as well as any TTB front end does. It is a 3.54 ratio and when it comes out from my truck it will be complete from springs to hubs. I am doing a SAS just because I found a good deal on a Dana 60 here local. Well that and I want to lift it, and although I don't wheel hard but those drop brackets for the TTB are scary from my experience. When I do the swap I am going to do a shackle reversal also so the old girl will ride like a Lincoln right?
Damn Don. that sounds like way too much for me, but I am working out in front of the house in the gravel so anything more serious needs to go to the shop at the other end of town.. It is a bit of a learning experience to go from American engineering (Ford) to German stuff. And I just realized I have not owned a car in over 20 years, its all been Ford Trucks...
