Ok... so what about the crappy moulding on the bottom of the door? The stuff with the plastic pins that falls off, and when you close the door is hangs out the bottom?
Its such garbage. Now I don't have any on the driverside of the truck... CC. Just pulled it off the back door today because half of it was hanging down.
Mine is hanging from 3 outta 4 doors at least a couple inches haha..........if I can get the dang things to stay in the doors long enough I might do this mod too!
3M double stick tape. I've used this on things and could not get them apart even if I wanted to, with out destroying it. BUT, you gotta make sure the surfaces are very clean. Or you could use velcro that they sell in long rolls with the tape already on it (in case you want to remove for any reason.) Just a thought...
-or-
But why not just go to AutoZone (where the penny glow plugs are at) and get a couple more of the plastic push pins?
I read about it and have some down time while in Florida for a couple of months during cold weather. Thought I would do it, will take some pictures and post as I do it.

My local Lowes carries a full line of the automotive plastic clips/push pins like the ones that retain the molding you are talking about, that's how I fixed mine.
All the surgical tubing in the door gasket did for me was make my doors hard to close.

Sorry, I figured everyone would know what I was talking about... it isn't actually the pins that fail... I guess its the doors. In Buffalo the salt gets everywhere, for 6mo out of the year... so when that flap gets loose the salt gets in the hole, and all of a sudden the hole is larger and the pin doesn't fit.
So the pin is still there, but the hole is too large.
Have you guys ever tried to replace one of those? The don't come out of the rubber very easy and I can't imagine once one is out the new one would stay in.
I bought some 3m gasket/adhesive glue and tried that. Pretty much sucks, and it was messy! I'll be buying double sided tape tomorrow probably......and maybe even weather stripping for the doors, make it a tighter fit, and maybe even more airtight? We shall see!

I have used the rtv silicone on several vehicles I have owned and so far it has worked great. I just made sure everything wass good and clean, wiped down everything with rubbing alcohol and layed a bead of rtv down, taped it in place for a couple of hours and..............
I thought about the JB Weld......just thought it was overkill. Guess I should've gone with that! We'll see how my stuff holds in the morning though.......it's supposed to be like 8 degrees tonight!
You guys could always try an Epoxy. They have a wide variety of Epoxies that are either made for plastic, metal, etc. I have always had excellent luck with any epoxy.
