no 4x4

When I push the 4x4 button to engage the four wheel drive all I get is clicking coming from the glove compartment.

The clicking sound in the relay. If you have push button you have the electric shift motor on the transfercase. Those are prone to going bad so ur best guess is replacing that. Ck that motor for power. If you have 12v there then urs is shot.
