Alright, I took you guys advice on the Bilstein 5100's, now I need input on the Steering stabilizer.
The current one is just a white rusty shock and doesnt seem to help keep the steering tight at all.
Truck has a 4" lift and maybe it was added with that by the PO, although I dont know how long ago that was. Truck had 190k on it when I bought it, already lifted with a 4" rancho.
Whats the BEST replacement shock I should get? or whats the best KIT i should get?
So far ive replaced the Tires, steering box, hub assemblies, shocks, and breaks...and the truck still wanders around.
I went with a Fox stabilizer on mine. It's now a rusted pile of turd from the roads out here though. I also purchased a stabilizer relocator from Rubicon Express, moves the stab from the first thing you'd smash to the 2nd behind the tie rod. My next setup will probably be the DR dual stab kit.
EDIT - I noticed you're running Toyo MT's. I noticed with mine if I have anything less the 50psi in the fronts that it wanders pretty bad. How much air you running? I run 50 up front and 42 in the rear (empty).
First ensure the alignment is good then consider a Superlift Dual kit with the Bilsteins. If you can wait a Donahoe Racing kit will work great as well.
I have a 6" lift on a '06 250. I added the Fabtech stabilizers almost a year ago, and I wouldn't change. Towing or not, the front end is rock solid.
Not too many $ either
