Everybody Likes Pictures..Door Panel Update
Not quite done but wanted to share some progress of the door and kick panels, I found some old t-bird (I think) fender emblems and used them on the kicks, special thanks to TRUXX1956 for the advice and knowhow. Still have to add armrests...later, Ed (a couple more pics in interior gallery)

Cool man! Looking good!! I think that emblem is off a 55 Ford Fairlane? My mom had a '56 Sunliner, that we built for her, and we had alot of '55 parts. I'm in the process of doin something similar to my buddy's '56 kick panels. We're goin to use the V8 design, cut out of white plastic, with a light behind it. It will function as an interior light, when the doors are open.
Looking good, keep up the good work!!

Ed,
Wow!! you have done an awesome job!!! The emblems are a great touch.
You deserve a huge pat on the back and a frosty cold beverege tipped in your honor. I'll buy you a round (and since the distant is so great between is I'll make the sacrifice and down yours for you so that it doesn't get all warm and flat...its the least I can do)
Nicely done

Thanks for all those kind words.
To answer some of the questions...the panels were made from 1/4" wood cut from patterns off the cardboard door panels bought from Mid-Fifty.
I also custom fit the stainless kick panel trim and rivited it to the edge of the "kick area", this way the kick panel can slide in and be "tucked under the edge of the trim....NO SCREWS! Bobby...That "frosty cold beverage" sure does sound good, maybe I'll take you up on that one day at a National Show.
Learpilot...that is Sherwin Williams "Orange Crush"....base coat clear and in the sun a green crystal flake come out and is is awesome.
Also, the speakers and stereo were a Mother's day gift to my wife...she sold the car...I took back the system....I think I got away with it!
Question...? Carpet to match the panels or the paint....or a contrasting darker tan??? What do ya think?
