Welcome to FTE earsal. Ford only uses zerk fittings on steering linkage. The suspension is non-serviceable which means all those things that you think should be greased can't be.
I have 2007 I purchased new and it has grease zerks on the front universal joints where the axles go into the front hub. You have to look close and turn the universal by hand. Hard to get a grease gun on, but if you have them turned right no problem. Jim
As an owner of an 00 & 03 both of which just had the balljoints replaced (77K on the 00 but they started to go at about 60K & at 55K on the 03) - my comment is: for a 40+K @*#%@%#@($% TRUCK! WHY CANT FORD SPEND 150$ and put Greaseable parts on. ( U-Joints, Balljoints etc)
I'd gladly pay the extra $$ vs having to take a truck out of service for 2-3 days to do front end work that in my opinion could be easily prevented. Hate to say this but I will - a friend's GMC 3500HD has a greaseable front end (everything) and he's on all of his original parts @ 80K. Hmmmm......
All they do put grease fittings on are the steering linkages. My guess is that is so they'll save some warranty $$ since that stuff would wear out fairly quickly whereas everything else will last at least until the warranty runs out unless someone is just really hard on a truck. Then they have a reason to deny the warranty anyway - abuse.
My 2004 250 Superduty had 5 grease nipples at the front end. Now I've got the 2007 and there are none. You'd figure most car companies make impovements to their vehicles each year. 3 years later and there going backwards. Having said all of that I like my FORD.
