I bought my '05 F250 SD XLT Crew Cab 5.4/5R110W/3.73-open a few weeks ago. I was going to buy the Factory Manuals but they're too expensive. I ordered a Haynes Manual for 1999 to 2006.
In the meantime, I saw the foglight mod on this forum [Thanks! It works great!], tried it, found out that the foglights only come on when the key is turned to run, and found out that the wiring diagram in the Haynes Manual is WRONG! Has anyone else noticed any other differences?
Haynes manuals always have mistakes when it comes to electrical diagrams covering mulitple years. They also many times get the year effectivities wrong for certain tansmission and engine setups. I only use the as a "guide" and that is how they are written.

That's how it is period in a SD.. The fog lights do not operate unless the engine is running..

haynes manuals are almost useless.
the only thing i have found them good for are lining the bottom of the bird cage, and the bottom of the portable dog kennel..

They aren't really THAT bad, but they contain way too many mistakes for my taste.
For a real manual (set of 3 manuals, actually.... General Shop Manual, Wiring diagram book, and emissions book) it's gonna cost you a bit over $200. Think of it this way; you'll probably save that much the first time you do a repair instead of taking the truck in to have somebody charge you to do the job.
That Ebay is Ford's DVD.. Its got what you need, however the price is REAL low.. It's worth a shot, if its a fake DVD you wouldn't be out too much.. Most of those DVD's are in the $100 range.. I know Ford's actual DVD has what he's listing, Elec Wiring, ED/TD Diag and Service Manual..
that ebay DVD is old ford dealer service dept stock. if you read the description closely, you will see that you have to reset the date on your computer to make it work, cause it is basically a stolen disc without the proper security code.
and remember, it is a DVD, not a CD.
so if your computer does not have a DVD reader, it will not work.
