My dads boss laughed when he herd i got a 7.3... he has a Dog I mean Dodge "rumble bee" I only had my bully dog turned up to 75hp with my 4in exhaust and I made him think I had all kinds of mods!!! We got side by side on the freeway just by chance, he took the jump on me but when i looked back after passing him all i could see was him trying to swerve out of my smoke cloud... hehehe
The only dodge that has beat me was a 07 cummins that is supposedly owned by some diesel performance shop that has all kinds of mods like dual turbos etc. Came up to Newton speedway to race, and litterly blew my doors off, that crew cab lifted 4x4 dodge was running 8.7 in the 1/8th vs my truck running 9.6s consistant. I have ran a couple Hemi dodges and never even gave them a thought (actually had to come to a stop and wait for one cause the rules of the track is the vehicle in the left lane must exit to the return lane first, if the right lane crosses you will be asked to leave and I was so far ahead I had to stop and wait until he got to the end of the track) The only other ones that gave me a run was the SRT-10s which are supposed to be so terribly fast and I beat both by at least a truck length.
I did race a couple of mildly modded cummins and although beat them, it was by half a truck vs the lousy showing of the srt truck and the might as well stayed at home of the hemi powered one.
only pic i could find from the race track of my truck but this is what happens when a mustang takes on a 7.3L PSD

Hey monsterbaby do you make it to newton often. We have an RV spot trackside and went several times last year.....have the same spot again for this year.
Kevin I didn't make it to any of the roundy round races at newton but I do try to make it for the friday night drags as often as I can, and this coming year they are having sunday afternoon drags in the spring and fall.
for roundy round stuff I prefer to just go to Knoxville, now that is racing and non of this pretend to be cars, those guys know how to go around in circles down there (ok they go backwards around the corners lol)
I only live about 50 miles from newton though.
Darn I was hoping we could meet up this spring. We dont usually make it till late on friday (150+ one way) Our neighbors go to knoxville alot though.....might have to check it out sometime.
oh you would like Knoxville trust me, nothing like the smell of alky burning and the feel in your chest of the engines pounding your heart and seeing the dirt fly and those guys backing it around the corners LOL.
might have to figure out when your going to be there though and make a trip north on one of those race weekends your going to be around or if you decide to make knoxville just holler that is only 26 miles from my door. Just don't make it on nationals weekend that race has been sold our for 4 months lol.
Sorry for hijacking the thread didnt want to pass up the opp to meet someone from here. I actually have a friend that races dirt track at Harlan.....do like that smell. Will have to try and meet up this season somehow.....we will have to get in touch as the season gets closer.

Is that a MonsterDad you have on your grill there?
Beautiful truck, BTW.
Monsterdad? do you mean the hole in the grill from the deer my wife hit (6 pt buck at 65mph and you can see the total extend of the damage. just gotta love a superduty) the grill has since been replaced.

And thank you.
All I can say is...I want a friggin ride! No WAIT, I want to DRIVE!
I killed a Hemi, myself and they really aren't all that.
I was with my girlfriend and we were on our way to dinner; we pulled up at a light and we had to get over otherwise we'd be stuck in the lane that was ending. A white, late model Ram with a Hemi, single cab, and more than likely the 4.10s the single cabs get, pulls up next to me. He makes it obvious that not gonna let me get in front of him when the light changes. My girlfriend looks over to me and says: "Honey, I think he wants to race...". With a BSEG on my face I said: "Hang on babe." The light turned green, we took off and that guy in the hemi was a truck and a half behind me in the black smoke I left. We get to the next light and he's behind me pissed as ever roasting his tires and gunning his engine. I don't know what he didn't appreciate more, the fact that I beat him or black smoke I blew all over him....

I tell you what I have seen them give me the finger and all that stuff but never burn the tires I would just wave and ease on down the road. I used to have a 87 corvette back in 2000 or so it was bad but it was very loud so i never really raced it except at the track. A few times I would get on it in town this one time a couple of guys in a GMC 350 was next to me at the light they kept reving it up with those loud glass packs .....I acted like I was going to go at the light man they took off packs yelling tires screaming and guess what there was a cop sitting right there in the shoneys parking lot I seen him look up so I slowed down so he could get out I just. Well Im sure they got some kind of ticket
