Thats a SWEET Six banger.. Probably one of the nicer I've seen in awhile. Hows she sound with that 260H cam in there?? I dont suppose you have any video of it running do you? Im putting together a 300 for a close friend, and he picked up the biggest cam available for that motor. I'm curious to see how that 260 sounds..
...It's going to be redone once I get to the brake booster swap...all the green will soon be gone ...replaced with Black-Stainless steel - Chrome - Cast iron grey
Here's one for you
Brrrr that pic lowered my temperature by 5 degrees lol. Post a finished pic when you're done, that bling will look SHARP on a 429.
Greythorn3, of course the Cupholder-Under-The-Hood is a special factory option. *grin*
Very nice engine pics everybody, keep 'em coming. I are envious of that built 390FE too...

I don't have a video, but I can tell you I think it sounds great (if you like loud). The idle with that cam, is not as lumpy as I expected (I wanted a lumpy sound), but the trade off is it runs better than I ever expected. It pulls hard up to 4000rpm (I installed the matching Comp Cam valve springs). I would challenge anyone to take a ride, and tell me it doesn't accelerate like a small block (even with 39.5" tires and 4.11 gears)!. I have the cast iron EFI split exhaust manifolds, that have 2-1/4" pipes at the manifold, Y-ing into a single 3" pipe at the firewall, and 3" all the way back, exiting behind the rear tire with a 5" stainless tip (looks like a diesel exhaust), At first I had no muffler, but it was way way way too loud. I now have a 3" Silverline stainless turbo pack muffler, and it's a little quieter, but not much. In a nutshell, I wouldn't change a thing on my engine combo.
Thanks
