I've got an 07 Lariet with the chrome package grill. I took a small screwdriver and gently pushed down on each plug where it goes into the grill support. When you reinstall they just push back in. I had to look at my new grill to know how the bottom clips worked.

When I switched mine, I merely removed the top screws, then tilted the grille far enough forward to get a screwdriver or molding tool (from the back) under each clip and pop it up.
Yup, there's plenty of play to take top screws out then lean grill ahead far enough to get your arm and screwdriver down in there. you'll be surprised how easy it comes off when your done
