inoperable remotes
The key fob remotes on my 97 Mountaineer will not unlock my doors nor does the alarm work. Changed batteries in fobs and the little lights in them do burn when button is pushed. What do I look for now?

Try turning the keyswitch on and off 8 times, and see if the door locks lock, and then unlock. If they do, then the system will be in a mode to recognize the key fobs, so push the button on it. This works for certain years, and I don't know if this is the correct procedure for yours or not.
