I decided tonight at 11:30 to post my 1961 Plymouth car at 500 bucks. Right now at 1:30 I already got 3 guys saying they are coming to look/buy one for tommorrow. Can't believe it but I guess someone likes it.
You should throw me a pm to me about it, or even on here, whatever, and tell me what you know about it, and what he wants for it, Ive been looking more and more for a little tractor for around here. Doesnt need to have a bucket this time either!
Well we got the Deutz which is a 3cyl diesel aircooled, FEL 3pt 40hp The small loader wooks nice for piddly crap that a large one can't get into or if you don't feel like starting for.
since you say that you don't need a FEL may I suggest a CO-OP E3? it is the same thing as a *****hutt 30. Kinda like a 49 Mercury M47 compared to a 49 Ford F1.
The co-op E3 has 8 forward gears live PTO very light which makes it great for yardwork. Despite 28 hp will out pull alot of bigger tractors. They comonly lift up the front wheels when pulling a load too heavy.
We also got a Massey 55, big old brute Oliver 88 which would be another good choice extremely smooth nice lookin tractor. Also got Case Dc which is not as quite light as the Co-op Minnelapolis U which is a little too big for yard work but another puller.
I really do suggest using a older farm tractor over a modern yard tractor, kepp it for 30 years and still be worth somethin, simple to fix, a older 25hp tractor will not even grunt when draw bar to draw bar with a modern 50hp. yard machine.
How much does your dad want for any of those? I would like to get a smaller older tractor, something with a pto I can hook a brush mower up to, and maybe a small plough.
I am gonna get a newer JD riding lawn mower, but Im starting to realize I need something a tad bigger then that too.
It's probably best to come by the farm and look in spring
The Co-op has a freshly rebuilt motor so that one is abit more.
The Oliver 88 is a very popular collector tractor
Massey 55 is a purddy gleeming red
The Deutz having all the toys is probably quite abit more then the rest.
Probably better to see them in person. I remeber a few years back dad sold a Massey 44 for 700.
For PTO the Co-op and Oliver 88 has the better PTO's.
Sounds cool I wouldnt need it till the spring anyways. I actually found a ford 9n for cheap, but its in calgary and thats getting to be aways away for me to drive to get a tractor.
Rent a Calgary U-Haul trailer.....With the truck you`ve got to pull it with you won`t even know it`s behind you.
Then drop in a Flattie in the 9N, it would be one smokin tractor!
