Gas milage improving tips?
Hey guys im new here I have a 77 F100 2wd with a 351W and C4 trans with 3.55 gears Im working on improving milage and power of this setup.I drive it mostly in town use it for pulling on occasion and light hauling.
So far im averaging about 12 mpg im not expecting a giant gain but it would be nice to see somewere near 15-16 mpg
mods so far
Edelbrock RPM intake
600 vac secondary holley
tall K&N filter
MSD 6al with matching coil
long tube headers 1.5 tubes 3" collectors
2" true duals with homemade mufflers
3.55 gear to replace 2.79 (for both towing and intown use)

Welcome to the site all i can say is to drive like there is an egg under the pedal try not to vary your speeds too much proper tire pressure engine fully tuned thats about it hard to get good gas mileage in these big trucks that are like a brick for aerodynamics

I think alot of what hurts it is the short trips i make to work (2 miles or less)
Any ideas on what these trucks weigh?

I'd say you're getting as good as you're gonna get.
