Hi , guys. I figured it was about time for an update . The old truck is all stripped down and getting reprimed and block sanded down. I'm at the 400 grit stage, one more prime and then 600 then paint . It sure is along way around these trucks when your doing it alone . Oh well I'm having fun . I have a few gremlins to work out of it as far as the mechanical side goes ( my c4 tranny is leaking and I haven't figured out why yet ). And I am still looking for a 9 in rear so I can get the old dana 44 out from under it . The old dane rear is great but those 427 gears are a little much for me . But it's getting there . Well that's about it for now from the Green Mtn State .
Your progress is a lot farther along than some of us so congratz! I would have had a 9in for you bout a month ago, but sold it to someone i know for his 1940 ford pickup (my dream truck)... If i find another I'll let let ya know...
yeah really. Just when I thought I wasn't gettng anywhere with my '48, with the winter blahs and all, I go and buy another one just to start all over again. Now that is progress, lol.
Thanks for the tip FORD RANGER.
I`ve seen this one before and have it stored in my computer. Wonder what the story of this truck is?
I don`t know if I would call something this fast an ugly truck though, it totally rocks!
My 48 is all apart now but we are on the second coat of high build primer and as soon as we get this coat blocked we are going to put the cab back on my finished chassis with all the running gear ready to go. After we get it all back together then we are going to take the fenders and bed off and paint them before final assembly. Hope to be driving all over at least by end of this year. Picture of inside cab and one door with the window installed. Doors currently dissembled waiting for primer and blocking.

That`s my answer to having some progress, buy another one instead.....
