Shocks for an '87
I need new shocks for my '87 F-150 reg cab, long box, 4.9L, 2wd. After a lot of research I was thinking about going with the Rancho RS5000 shocks. After looking at Rancho's catalog, they say that an "axle shim kit", part number RS8125, "may be required on rear axle for shock-to-axle clearance." Has anybody else dealt with this? Or have another recommendation for shocks? This truck is a farm truck and spends most of its time on dirt.
