I want to put new manual hubs on my 87 150. They look wierd to me. I dont think the warns I looked at today will fit,am I stuck with the stock type hubs, or are there aftermarket ones for an 87 f150. By the way, I dont have automatic ones. I also asked this in the 4x4 section too. Thanks Todd.
If you have the 1 pc hubs (remove tire couple clips and hub comes off) that could be had in late 80's . You got some swapping of parts to run other type.
But if stock type hubs any brand will fit. as long as for the 44. I have ran stock ford ,superwinch (nicest to turn but screws like to seize up no matter what ), and Warn (best all around ) for couple 100000 each all work as supposed to . so its up to you.
It was an 86 with auto hubs, not sure what flange or if the 87's are the same or if they make them for that year. Just thought I would give you my experience with changing hubs. Just went to the auto parts store and they said this was the best option for the money.
The one piece/flange type setup was used in 87 and 88. If you've got the flange type then you'll have to buy the pricey conversion kit, unless you can find some OEM hubs like the ones you've already got...
