I actually just put a commander in my truck today. I plan on using it as a stand alone gauge. I don't really know how it compares to other gauges, as I have never had other gauges. Seems like it is pretty accurate so far. But I haven't really driven with it all that much yet.

It will not control the f5 chips.

jeff let me know how it works out for ya. I've heard from other ppl that the boost isn't correct when you use a boost foiler

I'll be sure to let you know. I don't have one of those annilators on my truck, but the boost readings seem to be pretty accurate so far.

it will only go to 18-20lbs because it is taking a reading from your pcm,you have to get a signal from the map sensor to read correctly.

I just intalled my commander and removed the analog gauge and couldnt be happier. You need to piggy back the wire in the center of the MAP plug and if you have a foiler you would just connect to it in the same location. So far the cammander is within 2lb of what the analog gauges were.

seemed to work for me so far. dont use the chip that is an optoin. seemed to screw things up, and the fuel presure is not consistant, but I really dont use it for Diesel psi. when I am on VO is when I need it to read right.
I think said and done and not ever using the other gauges and I were buying again, I would get the analog ones. but since I have what I have I am happy with it thus far.

Oh, the buttons sometimes dont work, so you have to take it apart to clean the contacts. but I dont change my setting ususally once its going.
