99 F250 SD - I have always heard this clunk coming from my transmission. It only makes this noise after I have backed up in reverse, put it in 1st/2nd, then as I let the clutch out and the truck begins moving forward... CLUNK. Anyone have this? What is it?
Manual I assume? Sounds like the Throwout Bearing is letting go.. Clunk could be the clutch dropping.. Might even be a gear as well.. I'd take it by a trans shop and have them listen to it..
Sounds like a driveline noise. Put in neutral and lift the rear end. Anything making noise like that will show it self when you start checking it. Grab the driveline and see what is loose. Sounds like a joint is going out.
