Bad Gauge???
I just installed a autometer Sportcomp Transmission temp gauge is my 2001 superduty 5.4. I believe it is a 4r100 transmission. I took it for the first ride after installing it. the gauge when up to 230 then to 250. I had this truck for 2 years without a gauge & no problems, I just got a 30'travel trailer so I wanted to add the gauge so I did not burn the transmission up. I put the sending unit in the test port on the side of the transmission. I believe there is NO WAY it should ran at 250??? Bad sending unit??? What do you guys think???
