Anyone on here got fender flares on there 1992 to 1997 pickup truck...I was wondering what hind and how much body they cover....I have a rust issue and need to cover it...
Warns cover about 3" and the flares really speed up the rust . If you can get a used set go for it . But for cost of new I can buy repair panels glue them on and at least be solid looking.
glue? I dont know about that! How about cut off the rust, paint the edge with rust bullet & screw on the flares. I've been thinking about doing that myself.
thats what i was thinking...Pretty much besides paint the edge with rust...Mine just on one of the rear panels and it really not to bad but i know in the future it is goign to happens on all i was going to go with bushwacker cut out flares but they said they had them in stock and they emailed me today and told be they should be to my house in a month or more...SO i cancelled them and just having them send my throttle body....WOw and i didn't think they would speed up the rust...I got some thinking to do...GOOD thing they were on back order.....

Yes glue , Auto panel glue . Hes patching . The glue hold as good as a weld .
Guy at work replaced one full side bed with welds other with "glue" Was rear ended . BAD . The glue side folded up not a crack the weld sides poped. They used this adhesive on new cars . I have had good luck with panels . In rust zone the welds burn off any protective . And there rust .
Beside I can get the wheel arch panels and have them painted at locol tect school for under the price of the flares. Course if you have big tires go for it .
But I know 31's dont look good with flares.
I believe you, I epoxy'd some trans-am door skins on, worked great. Do you need to put a lip on the truck panel for a flush fit, then filler? If so whats the name of the tool & where do you get it. Where do you get the glue? I agree, small tires & flares dont look right. I normally dont like flares at all. The one exception is gm trucks. I love their flares. Maybe cause theyre flat on the top?
